In June Dimitri Schuurman, IMEC, was at the ICE IEEE conference in Porto where he presented a paper on CitCom.ai, positioning our TEF against testbeds, Living Labs and regulatory sandboxes which was part of the selected papers of the Smart Cities track.

He was also invited to a panel on Smart Cities, Living Labs, Urban Intelligence & Citizen Assemblies: Democratizing Innovation and Citizen Engagement. Together with panellists from all over Europe and from different EU initiatives he talked about the unique and specific position TEFs are taking in the current European AI landscape.

“By bridging the gap between city and citizen demands, AI and technology research, and start-ups and SMEs strengths and capabilities they can act as catalysts that enable responsible, trusted and inclusive innovation.”, says Dimitiri Schuurman.
