The European project CitCom.AI continues to advance in its mission to connect Artificial Intelligence with urban transformation. Through the workshop "CitCom.AI: Connecting Artificial Intelligence to Transform Cities", companies, entrepreneurs, and Spanish partners have gathered to present success stories, foster synergies, and define innovative strategies in the urban sphere.
Success stories of AI-based solutions to urban challenges
The event, held in Valencia at Las Naves building of València Innovation Capital, has served as a key platform to strengthen public-private collaboration and explore new AI-based solutions to tackle urban challenges. During the session, use cases driven by CitCom.AI were presented, including one by Libelium, which showcased the use of a predictive AI algorithm to optimise noise management, cleaning, and urban security. The University of Valencia explained its application of clustering algorithms to analyse tourist profiles and improve services based on demand. Nunsys, in turn, introduced AI-based tools for damage assessment in emergency situations and a digital twin developed for the Territorial Emergency Plan.
In addition to these success stories, the event featured the participation of various technology companies such as Qsimov, Dedomena AI, Green Urban Data, Tyris AI, Dinapsis Hidraqua, Softtek, Fivecomm, and Linkener, which shared their solutions in sectors such as tourism, finance, the environment, water management, and energy.
Stronger collaboration between public and private sectors key to adopt AI in cities
CitCom.AI took advantage of this meeting to present in detail its service catalogue and the opportunities it offers to local businesses, allowing for better adaptation of its resources to the needs of the business ecosystem. The workshop also included an interactive session where participants worked in mixed groups to exchange ideas and design concrete strategies for the implementation of AI solutions in the urban environment.
The event concluded with a networking session and a sharing of key conclusions, reaffirming the importance of strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors to facilitate the adoption of AI in cities. CitCom.AI continues to consolidate its role as a catalyst for innovation and digital transformation in the urban sphere, promoting intelligent and sustainable solutions that contribute to improving the quality of life in European cities.
