CitCom.ai had a strong presence at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, showcasing how artificial intelligence can transform European cities.
Over three days, the team took part at the OASC booth, presented its connections with the CitiVERSE EDIC and the Local Digital Twin Toolbox, and concluded with an inspiring panel on adopting AI in real urban environments.
The company Gimic develops AI-based systems for automated quality control in the manufacturing industry and is the first to undergo RISE’s new Risk Assessment Analysis Service for evaluating systems in relation to the EU AI Act. The service has been developed within the framework of CitCom.ai TEF.
CitCom.ai will of course be represented at the OASC conference next year in Portugal. This year’s focus is on how funding — from EU programmes to national initiatives — can accelerate digital transformation and AI-powered urban innovation.
TEFs are specialised large-scale reference sites to test state-of-the art AI and robotics solutions. They are open to all European technology providers wanting to test both software and hardware AI products and services in real-world environments.
